McKeesport, PA — Two people were injured in an explosion at a building in McKeesport Tuesday.
The incident happened at the old YWCA building in the 400 block of 9th Street. It’s now known as the Common Ground Building, and is owned by the City of McKeesport.
McKeesport Mayor Michael Cherepko said two subcontractors working to install a handicap ramp were injured. There is no word on their condition. No one else was inside the building at the time.
“We are keeping these individuals and their families in our prayers at this time,” Cherepko said.
Sky 4 with Action Cam flew over the scene. Debris could be seen scattered around the building.
